What is Panchayat 3 about?

Panchayat 3 takes forward the journey of Abhishek (Sachiv ji) who is an MBA aspirant but is stuck in the Phulera village, working for the Panchayat. He has been freshly transferred out of the village and he is mulling over resigning and focusing on his upcoming entrance exams. However, Pradhan (Neena Gupta), Pradhan Pati (Raghubir Yadav) and others don't want him to go. They go to extreme lengths to stop his transfer and so, Sachiv ji stays back in Phulera. He is the same old guy, who says he doesn't care about the people or the village and yet finds himself in situations where he has to rise up to the occasion. After two seasons, Phulera is gearing up for Panchayat elections and thus there is plotting, planning and politics in the air. And amidst all the chaos, real faces of some will get exposed, while some bonds are going to get stronger.

What's hot?

After the first two seasons, Panchayat 3 takes the web series ahead in a seamless way. This time, along with the hilarious situations and ample light-hearted moments, the focus is on the bringing out the best of the characters and setting the narrative through their personal fights, failures and fallacies. Faisal Malik (Uppradhan) and Ashok Pathak (Binod) shine in their roles. Sachivji and Rinki's (Saanvika) love story also moves ahead in a typical old school fashion.

There are some old regular cast members who make a comeback this season and none of the characters disappoint. There is something interesting to do for everyone and enough to make them endearing in their own way. Even Banrakas aka Bhushan (Durgesh Kumar) will keep you entertained with his antics and conspiracies against Pradhanji and gang. The makers have kept the continuity intact and yes, if you haven't seen the first and second seasons, then there are low chances that you'd understand the true essence of Panchayat 3.

What's not?

The pacing is slow and tests your patience. It is only after the 5th episode that the story truly picks up. It rises like a Crescendo and reaches the perfect end, leaving you asking for more. While the season 3 is lacklustre as compared to the earlier two seasons, it lays the right foundation for a more riveting season to follow when Panchayat 4 releases (But not until the makers have made fans wait long enough).

Verdict?

Panchayat is a simple and sweet story that may not evoke laughter but will give you enough moments to leave a smile on your face. The web series, like the previous two seasons, is a pleasant watch for the entire family, to be enjoyed with some aamrus (mango shake) before the summer vacation ends.
