The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode starts with Kajal urging Sanjay to ensure that Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) and Armaan's (Rohit Purohit) divorce is finalized, otherwise Maa sa will not spare him for anything. Sanjay panics as he knows if Armaan and Abhira's divorce is not finalized, Armaan and Ruhi's wedding cannot happen, and Abhira might return to the Poddar house, which he doesn't want. On the other hand, Armaan reaches Abhira's doorstep to confess his love, however, before knocking on the door, he faints. Kaveri sees Armaan lying unconscious and takes him back to the Poddar house. Armaan dreams about confessing his love to Abhira, only to realize it was just a dream. Dadisa comes and once again manipulates Armaan into marrying Ruhi, recalling how much Vidya and the Poddar household have done for him.
Everyone is waiting for Armaan at the haldi ceremony; however, he is still confused about what to do. He loves Abhira and wants to stay with her, but he also knows that backing out from the wedding will bring huge shame to the Poddars and will break Ruhi's heart into many pieces.
