The actress reportedly passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest. She was at home when she suffered the cardiac arrest and husband Parag Tyagi rushed her to the hospital. However, she was declared dead on arrival, say the reports.

She had also featured in Salman Khan's movie Mujhse Shaadi Karoge. Shefali Jariwala's personal life kept her in the news. She was first married to Harmeet Singh of Meet Brothers.
